Rafael Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1, has said he hopes his 22-year-old compatriot Carlos Alcaraz has a long career.
Idman.biz reports that Alcaraz defeated Italian Yannik Sinner in the final of the recent US Open.
"It seems like this career is heading towards something unique. I hope it will last a very long time, because he needs to achieve certain results. I hope he doesn't get injured and everything will be fine. He already has six Grand Slam titles, but let's not talk about it. Six "slams" is an incredible number, but I hope he wins as many as possible," Nadal said.
