Indian tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her father.
According to "Report", citing the "Times of India", the incident occurred due to an argument.
An argument between father and daughter during breakfast resulted in the tennis player being shot. Deepak Yadav fired five shots at his daughter. Three of the bullets hit the athlete and caused fatal injuries. The 25-year-old tennis player was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save her life.
The 49-year-old father stated during interrogation that people talking about him living off his daughter's earnings and fame led to such a step.
It should be noted that Radhika Yadav's best position in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking was 113th place in November 2024.
