The first semifinalists have been determined at the 3rd "Grand Slam" tournament of the season, the Wimbledon Open.

The Spanish racket master defeated local athlete Cameron Norrie in all three sets in the 1/4 finals (6:2, 6:3, 6:3). The American tennis player was stronger than his Russian opponent Karen Khachanov - 3:1 (6:3, 6:4, 1:6, 7:6 (7:4)).
In the women's competition, Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) defeated Laura Siegemund (Germany) in a tense match. In a three-set match, the Belarusian athlete was able to come back (4:6, 6:2, 6:4). In the other 1/4 final pair, Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova lost to Amanda Anisimova (USA) (1:6, 6:7 (9:11)).
