The "Billie Jean King Cup" tennis tournament started today in Moldova.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijan national team played its first game in the 3rd group of the international tournament among women.
Our team, consisting of Mishel Cahangirova, Lala Eyvazova and Lamia Huseyn, under the leadership of coach Rauf Eyvazov, competes in the same group with Albania, Ireland and the host Moldova. Our tennis players tested their strength against the Irish in the first game. The opposing team won all 3 matches.
It should be noted that our national team will face Moldova tomorrow.
