Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by Roland Hofer, the technical director of the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Race, at a press conference.
He evaluated the final state of preparations before the race:
"We are very happy to be back again, and this time a 2.1 category race is being organized. 24 teams from 20 countries will join the competition. The teams represent four different continents. We will watch the competition of both healthy and fast cyclists. Sprint races will be held. Sahib Alakbarov presented information about the stages. We are fully ready for the start, and the presentation of the teams will also take place before the race."
