With this, the goalkeeper matches up with Lionel Messi and Thomas Müller in terms of the number of matches played in the tournament.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo (183) and Iker Casillas (177) have appeared in more matches.
It should be noted that Neuer has also reached Thomas Müller's record for the most appearances by a German footballer in the Champions League.
