Thus, Madina Sadigova went down in Azerbaijani karate history as the first Azerbaijani female karateka to become a European champion among adults.

Irina faced Maria Nieto (Spain), the finalist of the previous European Championship, in the bronze medal match.
Zaretska won the bronze medal by defeating her opponent 6:1.
Our other representative, Gulay Orucova, lost to Bosnian Emina Sipovic 4:0 in the bronze medal match.
