Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who achieved high results in international competitions last month.
Idman.Biz reports that the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan has released information about this.
It was reported that the event organized at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy started with the sounding of the National Anthem.
Then, athletes who were awarded the title of "Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan" were presented with relevant certificates and badges.
Later, Minister Farid Gayibov highly appreciated the achievements of the athletes in the international arena and congratulated them and their coaches. The Minister stated that during the month of March, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in 13 countries, and our athletes won a total of 82 gold, 56 silver and 70 bronze medals.
During the event, a video reflecting the results achieved in international competitions was shown. Representatives of a number of sports provided information about the competitions they participated in and their achievements.
It should be noted that at the end, Minister Farid Gayibov wished the athletes success in future competitions.
