Rumors have circulated that Brazilian footballer Felipe Santos will resume his career in Azerbaijan.
According to reports, Qabala is considering re-signing their former striker to their squad.
However, the club's press secretary Elnur Mammadli denied this news in a statement to Idman.Biz.
"We have already transferred 12 foreigners. An additional fee must be paid for the 13th foreigner. Therefore, we will not transfer another foreigner," he stated.
It is worth noting that the foreign players included in Qabala's official squad list are Arthur Mota, Nathan Monzango, Kouya Mabea, Isaac Amoah, Edson Eduardo, Andri Cekici, Jaime Sierra, Bruno Silva, Meshak Ubuchioma, Ismaheel Akinade, Karim Rossi, and Rafael Utzig.
F. Santos, a member of the Benin national team, currently plays for Bangkok United club in Thailand. During his career, he has represented Qabala, Shamakhi, and Araz-Nakhchivan in Azerbaijan. The striker has also played for Maribor in Slovenia and Hapoel Haifa in Israel.
