Idman.Biz reports that Sahib Alakbarov, First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Race, stated this at a press conference.
He stated that the winner of each stage will be awarded in both sprint and mountain bike races.
The official added that we have the opportunity to hold this competition in every region of Azerbaijan, and it is planned to hold the competition in Kalbajar in the coming years.
It should be noted that 24 teams representing 20 countries of the world will participate in the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Race, which will start on May 10. The main goal of the 5-day race is to contribute to the development of cycling sports in Azerbaijan, further increase the country's reputation in the international sports arena, and promote the sports tourism potential of the region.
