The head coach of “Shakhtar,” Arda Turan, commented on the 0:1 defeat against “Inter” in the third matchday of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.
İdman.Biz reported, citing the official UEFA website, that the Turkish specialist believes his team deserved at least one point.
“We are disappointed because we performed in a way that deserved points in this match. We are proud of our performance, but we cannot be happy with the result. Taking into account the level we displayed, the outcome should have been better.
Some of our young players had the opportunity to face their idols. They will learn from this and continue to develop and improve,” said Arda Turan.
It is worth noting that in the 68th minute of the match played in Milan, “Inter” defender Alessandro Bastoni received a red card. Despite this, the hosts secured a victory with a goal from Carlos Augusto in the 77th minute.
After three matchdays, “Shakhtar” sits in 17th place in the overall Champions League standings with four points.
