A meeting with the general secretaries of sports federations was organized within the framework of the "Fair Sports Month - 2026" held on the initiative of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA).

Representatives of about 40 federations participated in the event called "World Anti-Doping Code 2027: Key innovations and institutional changes." The main purpose of the meeting was to highlight the innovations stipulated in the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards that will enter into force on January 1, 2027, and to explain the role and obligations of federations regarding the implementation of these changes.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, emphasized the importance of systematic measures taken in the field of anti-doping and noted that close cooperation with federations plays an important role in the formation of a clean sports environment. AMADA's Executive Director Tahmina Taghi-zade, in her speech, stated that the implementation of the new Code will serve to further strengthen transparency and accountability in sports governance, and called on federations to actively participate in this direction.
During the meeting, AMADA employees made presentations on the requirements arising from the new Code, updated procedures, results management mechanisms, awareness-raising obligations, and compliance issues.
At the end, questions of interest to the federation representatives were answered, mutual exchange of ideas took place, and future cooperation directions were discussed.
