The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has suspended 2022 World Championships 100m medalist Marvin Bracy-Williams for 45 months for anti-doping rule violations.
İdman.Biz reports that the case against the 31-year-old Bracy-Williams was opened following information received.
Subsequently, a prohibited substance was found in the athlete's blood. The investigation continued with Bracy-Williams attempting to interfere with the process and also violating the whereabouts rule three times. However, he later provided significant assistance to the authorities, helping to uncover other doping cases.
Bracy-Williams' period of ineligibility began on February 5, 2024. All results obtained after June 1, 2023, are annulled. His period of exclusion from competition ends in November 2027.
Bracy-Williams is the second American sprinter from the top three in the 100m at the 2022 World Championships to be found guilty of violating anti-doping rules. Fred Kerley, the 2022 world champion in the event, was provisionally suspended in August 2025 for whereabouts violations.
