Azerbaijan has won another gold medal at the 3rd CIS Games. Sport24.az reports that Suleyman Ismayilzade surpassed all his rivals in the swimming competition.
He won the gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle swimming.
Alexander Filipets from Russia won the silver medal, and Bogdan Toropkin won the bronze medal.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan, currently in 2nd place, has 8 gold, 21 silver, and 31 bronze medals in its collection. Russia (59 gold, 17 silver, 12 bronze medals) leads the list. The 3rd CIS Games will end on October 8. 1624 athletes and 2337 representatives from 13 countries participated in the Games.
