Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoyev has climbed onto the podium at his fourth consecutive World Championship.
Idman.biz reports that the Olympic champion, competing in the 100 kg weight category, won his fourth medal at the main start of the season in Budapest.
He won the bronze medal match against South Korean Seheon Kim, ascending to the podium.
Thus, four consecutive World Championships have been productive for Zelim. The series began in Tashkent in 2022: he won a bronze medal there, repeated the same result in Doha the following year, and won the championship title in Abu Dhabi in 2024. Now he has once again become a bronze medalist in Budapest.
