Idman.Biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that these words were said by Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kilograms), a member of the Azerbaijani national team who won a gold medal in the mixed team judo competition of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in his statement to journalists.
The athlete evaluated the successful performance of the team: "I also tried to fulfill my responsibility. I lost the gold medal in individual competitions. In fact, this award could have been won. Apparently, I lost some initiative. However, this is sport. Anything can happen in sports. The main thing is that our judo team is the winner of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani judo team defeated the Uzbekistan team 4:0 in the final of the mixed team competition.
