Azerbaijani youth judokas finished the third day of the World Championships held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, without medals.
According to the information of the "Report" employee sent to the tournament, Muhammad Agakishiyev (73 kg) defeated Atkhan Bichoev (IJF) in the 1/16 finals, but lost to Veliko Varničić (Serbia) in the 1/8 finals.
Samaya Yusifli (57 kg) lost to Nonoka Yamakawa (Japan) in the 1/16 finals.
It should be noted that 11 Azerbaijani judokas have previously entered the tatami. Anar Guliyev (50 kg) and Zeyd Alasgarov (60 kg) won bronze medals.
Individual competition at the tournament will end on August 30. On August 31, a mixed team competition will take place.
