Azerbaijani judoka Kenan Nasibov (+100 kg) became the winner of the U-23 European Championship held in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
"Report" reports that he won the gold medal by defeating Polish representative Jakub Sordili in the final.
Our other finalist, Omar Rajabli (81 kg), lost to Italian Manuel Parlati and settled for a silver medal.
Vugar Talibov and Aslan Kotsoev (90 kg), also representing us, faced each other in the match for third place. Kotsoev, who defeated his opponent, won the bronze award.
It should be noted that yesterday, Azerbaijani judoka Islam Rahimov (66 kg) became the European champion.
