The mixed team competition is held today at the Judo World Championships in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani national team has already completed its performance at the World Championship, which was attended by 16 countries.
Our team faced Germany in the 1/8 finals and lost with a score of 1:4. While Zelim Kotsoyev (+90 kg) won in our team, Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg), Fidan Alizadeh (57 kg), Aytaj Gardashkhanli (70 kg) and Nigar Suleymanova (+70 kg) lost.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani judokas won 3 bronze medals in individual competitions. Zelim Tckaev (81 kg), Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) climbed to the third step of the podium. Our team finished 14th in the team standings.
