Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov won a gold medal at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Lent.az reports that the athlete, competing in the 73 kg weight category, defeated Shakram Akhmedov from Uzbekistan in the decisive match.
Thus, H. Heydarov became a two-time winner of the Islamic Solidarity Games. He also won the highest step of the podium at the similar competition held in Baku in 2017.
It should be noted that 3 of our judokas finished today's competitions with medals - Konul Aliyeva won silver, and Aydan Valiyeva and Ruslan Pashayev won bronze medals.
