Five more junior judokas from Azerbaijan will start fighting today at the World Championship held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to the information of the "Report" employee sent to the tournament, Leyla Alakbarova will face Khongorzul Ariunzorig (Mongolia) in the 1/32 finals, Narmin Agamirzazade (both 48 kg) will face Selin Iddir (France) in the 1/16 finals, and Aysun Mammadova (52 kg) will face Giulia Bonzano (Italy) in the 1/32 finals.
Among the boys, Royal Gayibov will wrestle with Raffaele Sodano (Italy) in the 1/32 finals, and Zeyd Alasgarov (both 60 kg) will wrestle with the winner of the pair Alexandros Polychronidis (Greece) / Kristian Butuci (Croatia).
It should be noted that six Azerbaijani judokas joined the fight yesterday. Anar Guliyev (50 kg) won a bronze medal.
Individual wrestling in the tournament will end on August 30. The mixed team competition will take place on August 31.
