Azerbaijani judokas finished the first day of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam tournament, held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, without any awards. Sport24.az reports that national team members Ahmad Yusifov, Balabay Agayev (both 60 kg), as well as Ruslan Pashayev and Rashad Yelkiyev (both 66 kg) remained outside the honorary podium.
The best result was achieved by A. Yusifov, who lost to Salih Yildiz (Turkey) in the bronze medal match and finished 5th.
It should be noted that the tournament will end on November 30.
