The Azerbaijani national team in artistic gymnastics has determined its roster for the European Championship, which will be held in Leipzig, Germany.
Idman.biz reports that the team includes Nikita Simonov, the winner of the World Cup in rings exercises, the silver medalist of last year's European Championship, as well as Ivan Tikhonov, Rasul Ahmadzada, Mansum Safarov, Murad Agarzayev, and Deniz Aliyeva.
In total, athletes from 37 countries will participate in the continental tournament. 165 gymnasts will demonstrate their skills in the men's competition, and 136 in the women's.
For the first time, medals will be contested in the mixed team tournament, which is included in the program of the 2028 Olympics.
It should be noted that the European Championship will be held from May 26-31.
