All rivals of Nikita Simonov, a member of the Azerbaijani team, in the rings final at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Leipzig, Germany, have been determined.
İdman.biz reports that Eleftherios Petrounias took first place in the qualification for this event.
The Greek Olympic champion, who was also the European champion last year, is considered one of the main favorites of the final.
Also, Adem Asil (Turkey), Courtney Tulloch, Harry Hepworth (both Great Britain), Samir Ait Said (France), Artur Avetisyan and Vahagn Davtyan (both Armenia) qualified for the final eight.
It should be noted that Simonov took seventh place in the qualification. The final will be held on May 30.
