Zaur Akhundov, the president of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation (AFF), has been brought to criminal liability.
According to Idman.Biz, referring to "Qafqazinfo", Zaur Akhundov is accused of embezzlement on a particularly large scale (Article 179.4 of the Criminal Code).
The investigation into the criminal case is being conducted by the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General. There is no court decision regarding him yet.
Zaur Akhundov is also the president of the Nakhchivan Football Federation.
It should be noted that Zaur Akhundov's brother, Ramin Akhundov, is the president of the "Araz Nakhchivan" football club. He was arrested some time ago in connection with a 5 million cigarette smuggling case.
