"Due to financial problems and lack of sponsorship support," Sumgayit Minifootball Club is suspending its operations. Despite qualifying for the European League, our club had to withdraw from the tournament due to financial difficulties. During our 8 years of activity, we adequately represented Sumgayit, trained football players for minifootball, became a big family, and became one of the strongest clubs in the country. The founder and head of the club was Nijat Alasgarov, and the most successful and last head coach was Nijat Maharramov.
We express our endless gratitude to all the football players, coaches, and staff who have worked hard for our club during these years."
