The futsal players of "Araz-Nakhchivan" have fulfilled all the tasks in the first two matches they played in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League. This was stated by the team's head coach Yevgeni Kuksevich in his statement to "Report", Sport24.az reports.
The specialist stated that they analyzed the Austrian team "Ljuti Krajisnici", which they will face in the last match of the preliminary stage: "In both games, the team fulfilled the tasks and all the assignments as I wanted. That's why we achieved the necessary results. There are several young players in the team and they got a chance in the games. I think they were able to show themselves in a good way. We have watched the games of the Austrian team and have done some analysis. I am more interested in my own team. Because the opponent can also play deceptive football. I watch the opponent, but I have my own ideas and I think about how my team will play. We have our own strategy, we must go out against any opponent only with attacking football and a desire to win."
The Russian coach does not think that the victories they won in the first games will create complacency in the futsal players: "I don't think that the victories we won in the first two games will create complacency in the players. Because I have individual conversations with each of them. I explain to them the importance of the tournament and the result. We represent not only "Araz Nakhchivan", but also Azerbaijani football in general. In my opinion, all the players understand this. We will try to achieve the desired result in the game with the Austrian champion."
He stated that the team had difficulty in mastering the tactics: "The difficult part of our work is that the team is being rebuilt, which makes it a bit difficult to master my tactics. Because we had little time. But since the new players are at a good level, there were no problems in terms of assimilation. Khazar, Ulvi from the locals, and Giovanni and Carlos, who remained from our team last year, played an important role in this regard. I guess that after this tournament, our training will gradually intensify and the new players will also master my tactics at the required level. We go to the field only to win. That is, we cannot have another result. The task is only and only to win, regardless of the opponent. We make certain tactical moves and changes in each game. I believe that this will pay off. I thank the management for the created conditions. They have met all our needs and created the necessary conditions."
It should be noted that the representative of Nakhchivan defeated the Northern Irish club "Sparta Belfast" 9:1 and the Scottish representative "PYF Saltires" 7:2 in Group F.
The team will play its last match today against the Austrian champion "Ljuti Krajisnici".
