The opening ceremony of the IV minifootball tournament among state institutions dedicated to the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held.
Idman.Biz reports that the event at the Baku Tennis Academy was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, the leadership of AFFA and the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation (AMF), as well as officials from various state institutions.
First, the participating teams were invited to the field. Then the National Anthem was played and the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Farid Gayibov greeted the participants of the event.
He reminded that the competition is being held for the fourth time: "We already have three winners. We also send them to international tournaments. This competition is organized at a high level. Interesting fight awaits us. I thank those who support us, our partners."
AMF Executive Vice President Taleh Nasibov wished the participants success:
"We are pleased that the tournament is held continuously. This year we won the minifootball world championship held in Baku. This shows that minifootball is developing in our country. State institutions pay attention to the traditional tournament."
After the artistic part of the opening ceremony, the first game of the tournament started.
It should be noted that the competition will end in May 2026.
