Oktay Rustamli: Preparation before the games with Denmark, head coach's requirements and team condition

The preparation process continues before the friendly games that the Azerbaijani national team will hold with the Danish national team on January 22-24.

Idman.Biz reports that Oktay Rustamli, an experienced member of the team, said this in his statement to the press service of the Futsal Federation regarding the preparation.

He stated that trainings have been carried out according to the schedule since January 18, and young futsal players are also included in the team:

"The head coach has certain requirements. His main desire is to be careful in defense, play without mistakes and launch a quick attack. We must ensure that the ball stays with us more. We are working on these in training. We also fulfill tasks related to standard situations."

The national team member noted that theoretical exercises are also held during the preparation process and the team's physical condition is at a good level:

"We are trying to finish the first games we will play at home in the new year with a victory. It is true that friendly games are for preparation for official matches and sometimes the result takes a back seat. The main goal is to implement what the head coach wants on the field."

O.Rustamli emphasized that the Danish national team has developed in recent years:

"We watched the opponent's game. Our head coach analyzed it, showed videos, and explained their weaknesses. It will be a difficult game, but we will do our best to please our fans."

It should be noted that the Danish national team is behind the Azerbaijani national team in the ranking, so they will start the fight from the preliminary stage of the 2028 World Cup.
