"We had great expectations from Vitali Borisov, unfortunately, he did not live up to them." These words were said by Namig Mammadkarimov, a former member of the national futsal team, in his statement to Sport24.az.
He commented on the appointment of Yevgeni Kuksevich as the new head coach of the national team:
"Unlike the newly appointed head coach, Barisov had no experience. That's why we asked for time to be given to him, we supported him. It is not known whether the new head coach will be successful or not. He led a team with strong futsal players in the French championship. From this point of view, I think he will cope with his job. We have no choice but to believe in our national team. Regardless of who the head coach is, our team must show positive results. Our futsal players must always work on themselves. There should be many friendly meetings so that the team's experience increases. Let's work on our weaknesses. We have many young and promising players. We need to believe in them."
It should be noted that Yevgeni Kuksevich has been the head coach of "Araz-Nakhchivan" since January of this year.
