Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Sahib Mammadov, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national beach soccer team, in his statement to AZERTAC while talking about winning a bronze medal at the European Championship (EBSL) held in Viareggio, Italy from September 7 to 15.
He thanked his team for a worthy fight: "Before the tournament, we were considered favorites. We were stronger than the opponents there. We fought head-to-head with each of them. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Romania was the dominant side in the semi-final match. Their goalkeepers performed confidently. They could take out the balls we shot. We want to prepare better and become champions in the future."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team defeated the Kazakhstan national team with a score of 7:1 in the match for 3rd place and won a bronze medal.
