On October 30, the next "Friendship Cup" mini-football tournament was held among teams of boys and girls aged 10-11 and 12-13, brought up in orphanages. The tournament aimed to support the physical and psychological development of children, strengthen their team spirit, self-confidence and social skills.
Idman.Biz reports that the tournament was also watched by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Arzu Aliyeva, head of the Baku Media Center, and Alena Aliyeva.
In the competition organized by the Association of Azerbaijan Football Federations, the teams of Children's Homes No. 1, 2, 3 in Baku and No. 4 in Ganja, operating under the Social Services Agency, competed in both age groups under the names "Shahinlər", "Birlik", "Zəfər" and "Kəpəz", respectively. High sports enthusiasm and friendly relations were observed between girls and boys. It was noted that both children and those watching the matches experienced great enthusiasm and joy during the games.
One of the most memorable moments of the tournament was when Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva, who watched the games, supported all the teams, had sincere conversations with the children and took pictures with them. They wished the participants success and once again emphasized the importance of holding such events on a larger scale and regularly in the future.
The winning teams in both age groups were awarded diplomas, medals and cups. At the same time, the teams that won second and third places were also awarded medals and diplomas.
At the end of the event, the children, educators and organizers noted that such initiatives have a positive impact on the lives of children, and draw attention to the fact that they strengthen children's self-confidence and social connections. They expressed their gratitude for the continuous organization of such social projects.
It should be noted that the "Friendship Cup" mini-football tournament was first organized in May of this year, and the current competition was realized as a successful continuation of that tradition.
The main purpose of organizing the mini-football tournament is to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among children growing up in social service institutions, as well as to support their integration into society and create conditions for building new friendships.
