Azerbaijan's futsal team demonstrated a successful game in the match against Libya at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games.
Idman.Biz reports that Farid Abbasov, a member of the team, stated this in his statement to the press service of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation.
He shared his thoughts on the match:
"Each of us fought excellently on the field. It was our first game under the leadership of the current head coach. We tried to ensure that both the result was good and we stood out in the game plan. True, it was our first match in the Islamic Solidarity Games, so there were those who were nervous in the team. But we all believed that we would win. We did not consider the opponent weak, our confidence in ourselves was great. Of course, no victory is easy. The game was tense. We conceded easy goals from standard situations. This also has certain objective and subjective reasons."
The futsal player also shared his thoughts on scoring a hat-trick in the game:
"This is my first such performance in the national team. Scoring a goal is important, but the main thing is to help the team, to have a share in its progress. We wanted the national team to contribute to this joy at a time when we are experiencing days of victory."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team, coached by Yevgeni Kuksevich, defeated Libya 5:4 yesterday.
