The "Aznur" team, which will represent Azerbaijan in the Champions League in mini-football, aims to play in at least the semi-finals.
This was stated to "Report" by the team's head coach Rajab Farajzade.
The specialist said that they do not yet have any information about the rivals in the group:
"Our goal is to go as far as we can. We are preparing seriously. Last year we advanced to the 1/8 finals. This year we intend to play at least in the semi-finals. As for our rivals in the group, we do not have complete information. However, based on the countries they represent, I can say that they are not weak. The draw was yesterday. I will try to collect information from today. Since I do not have the necessary information about the rivals, I cannot assess the chances. In any case, we will not go to the competition for a walk, we have a goal. As for the preparation process, we continue training. We plan to hold test matches with "Zira" and "Birbasha Baku"."
He said that they fell into a difficult group:
"In the Champions League, "Birbasha Baku" and our group are very difficult. "Zira" has easier opponents. The important thing is mental and physical preparation. Because there will be a game every day. Even if we get out of the group, we will play two games in one day, morning and evening. Of course, the schedule may affect our game. We must make sure that the players have the same level of strength and are not tired. In any case, the main goal is to get out of the group."
It should be noted that in the Champions League, the "Aznur" team will compete in Group G with "Almaty" (Kazakhstan), "Oviedo" (Spain) and "Hoverla Zak Prague" (Czech Republic) teams.
The competition will be held from September 17 to 21 at the Boyana Football Center in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
