The Azerbaijan futsal team has proven that it is not weak with the game it showed. Sport24.az reports that this was stated by the head coach of the national team, Yevgeny Kuksevich, to the press service of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation after the match against Libya at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games.
"First of all, I would like to note the unity and enthusiasm of the team members. I think this was one of the main points. We scored in the first minute, but we made some mistakes and fell into a losing position. The conversation we had during the break showed its effect in the second half, and we proved that we are not weak," said Kuksevich.
The expert also added that he was satisfied with the team's performance:
"We could have been stronger and won with a different score. Although we made mistakes, we won thanks to the desire of the futsal players, the fire in their eyes. It is important to be so willing and determined."
Kuksevich especially emphasized the importance of the fans' support:
"The role of the people who came from Azerbaijan and supported us in the stands was also significant. We heard their voices and felt their support. This gave the futsal players extra strength and enthusiasm."
The head coach finally said that the team is moving forward with confidence:
"The players listen carefully to what is said and try to apply it on the field. Sometimes they can't do it to the end, but I see confidence in them and thanks to this confidence we will do good things."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan futsal team defeated Libya 5:4 today at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games.
