The draw for the preliminary and main stages of the UEFA Futsal Champions League has taken place.
Idman.biz reports that "Araz-Nakhchivan's" opponents were also determined at the ceremony held at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon.
The champion of Azerbaijan became the opponent of "Ljuti" (Austria), PYF (Scotland) and "Sparta" (Northern Ireland) in group F. The games will be held in Austria from August 26 to 31.
In the preliminary stage, a total of 32 teams will compete in 8 groups, and only the group winners will qualify for the main stage. They will be seeded into groups on path B. 3 from each of the 4 groups on path A, and only the leader from the 4 groups on path B will have the right to continue the fight. The matches of the main stage will take place from October 26 to November 2.
It should be noted that there will be no elite round this season. The games will be held in a different format for the first time. After the main stage, the teams will participate in the 1/8 and 1/4 finals. The winners of path B and the 3rd place winners of path A will face the clubs that took the first and second places in group A. The winner will be determined based on the overall result of 2 games, home and away. The pairs will be determined by drawing lots. The draw will take place on November 6, and the games will take place on November 24 and December 5.
