"Araz-Nakhchivan" futsal club will test its strength in a test match with the Azerbaijani national team as part of preparation for the matches it will hold in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.
This was stated by the team's head coach Yevgeni Kuksevich in an interview with "Report".
He said that they wanted to realize this meeting before leaving for Romania, where the group games will be organized:
"We want to meet with the national team before leaving for the tournament. There is a time limit. Therefore, we cannot either go abroad or accept anyone. Since October, we have started preparing for both the Azerbaijani championship and the UEFA Champions League. We even held a 3-day training camp. Everything is fine. We are currently focusing all our attention on the competition."
The Russian specialist said that he analyzed his opponents:
"I analyzed their games and drew some conclusions for myself. The strengths of the opponents are known. Each of them is a team we can fight against. One of the difficulties is that we will play the first game against the hosts."
It should be noted that "Araz-Nakhchivan" will compete with "United Galati" (Romania), "Differdange 03" (Luxembourg) and "Tigers Roermond" (Netherlands) in Group VII in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League. The Azerbaijani representative will play its first match in the main stage against the Romanian club on October 29.
