"Araz-Nakhchivan" futsal club will test its strength in a test match against the Azerbaijani national team as part of preparations for the matches it will hold in the main round of the UEFA Champions League. Sport24.az reports that the team's head coach Yevgeni Kuksevich said this in his statement to "Report".
He said that they want to hold this meeting before leaving for Romania, where the group matches will be organized:
"We want to face the national team before leaving for the tournament. There is a time limit. That is why we cannot go abroad or accept anyone. We have started preparing for both the Azerbaijani championship and the UEFA Champions League since October. We even had a 3-day training camp. Everything is fine. We are currently focusing all our attention on the competition."
The Russian expert said that he analyzed the opponents:
"I analyzed their games and drew some conclusions for myself. The strengths of the opponents are known. Each of them is a team that we can fight. One of the difficulties is that we will play the first game against the hosts."
It should be noted that "Araz-Nakhchivan" will compete with "United Galati" (Romania), "Differdange 03" (Luxembourg) and "Tigers Roermond" (Netherlands) in Group VII of the main stage of the UEFA Champions League. The Azerbaijani representative will play its first match in the main stage on October 29 against the Romanian club.
