"We started the preparation process at the beginning of the month. We have been interested in the physical and psychological condition of the players." These words were said to Sport24.az by Mahmud Sadigov, Vice-President of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" futsal club.
The functionary spoke about the chances in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League:
"Our physical training coach is constantly working with the players. The head coach, and sometimes myself, are interested in their psychological condition. We try to get their work in order. So far, everything is in order. We will play our first game on October 29. We will face the host "United Galati" (Romania)."
The club official said that they analyzed the opponents:
"We have analyzed our opponents. All of them are teams close to our strength. Some may have a slight advantage. It is no coincidence that they are also higher than us in the ranking. But I have always believed in my team. I still believe now. I know they will do their best. They will try to achieve the goal set for them. Our goal is to be the group leader. We are all focused on this goal together. I believe that we will achieve it. We do everything necessary to ensure that the physical condition is at a high level."
It should be noted that "Araz-Nakhchivan" will face Romania's "United Galati", Luxembourg's "Differdange 03" and the Netherlands' "Tigers Roermond" club in Group VII.
