"Ferrari" driver Lewis Hamilton made interesting statements after finishing sixth in the qualifying stage of the Miami Grand Prix. The British driver said that simulator training was not useful for him and led the team in the wrong direction.
İdman.Biz reports that Hamilton faced serious difficulties with the settings of the SF-26 car. The seven-time world champion noted that the time he spent in the simulator in Maranello negatively affected the car's performance and that they had to take a step back in the settings before the qualifying stage.
Hamilton, who was satisfied with sixth place in qualifying, emphasized that the second session was quite successful, but he could not achieve the maximum in the third session:
"I don't feel comfortable in sixth place, this is not where I want to be. I think the simulator has directed me in the wrong direction and maybe I will give it up in the future".
The experienced pilot added that he expects rainy weather on race day and hopes that the car's balance will give a better result in these conditions.
