The first leg of the 1/2 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup was remarkable for "Zira".
"Report" reports with reference to the Professional Football League that the Baku club, which won 2:0 against "Turan Tovuz" away, won its 25th victory in the tournament.
The capital representative reached "25" in the 43rd match in the cup. "Zira" won 58.14 percent of its matches. The team, which won 13 times at home, rejoiced for the 12th time on the road. Thus, "Zira" became the 9th team in the history of the Azerbaijan Cup to win 25 or more matches.
It should be noted that the "eagles" won their first victory in the cup in the 1/8 final of the 2015/2016 season - on December 2, 2015, in an away match against AZAL - 2:1.
