The first official talks between "Chelsea" and Xabi Alonso took place this week.
Lent.az reports that the meeting was very positive. The Spanish specialist has confirmed his readiness to become the head coach of the team and sign a contract by joining a long-term project.
However, despite the promising start, "Chelsea" management is still considering other candidates for the position. Discussions within the club are ongoing and a final decision on the new head coach has not yet been made.
It should be noted that Xabi Alonso left Real Madrid earlier this year and has not worked for any team since then.
