The draw ceremony for the 2026/2027 season of the Women's Super League, organized by AFFA, has taken place.
İdman.Biz reports that at the ceremony a video clip dedicated to the league was shown first. Then the championship's new name and logo were presented.
It has been announced that the championship, in which 12 teams will participate, will consist of two stages. At the end of the first stage, the teams that occupy the top 6 positions in the tournament table will continue the competition in Group A, while the clubs placed 7th‑12th will compete in Group B.
According to the draw results, in the first round "Dirçəliş" – "Sumqayıt", "İmişli" – "Neftçi", "Ümid" (Ganja) – "Baku Juniors", "Araz‑Nakhchivan" – "Goranboy", "Liman" – "Sabah" and "Şəfa" – "Qəbələ" will face each other.
Note that the first‑round matches of the Women's Super League will be held on October 18‑20.
