"Villarreal" is planning to invite "Rayo Vallecano"'s head coach, Íñigo Pérez, to take the helm. Sport24.az reports, citing AS, that the "Yellow Submarine" sees the 38-year-old specialist as the main candidate for this position.
According to the source, Pérez is warmly inclined to the offer and is willing to work at "Villarreal." However, the coach has postponed negotiations until the summer. Currently, Íñigo is focusing all his attention on reaching the Conference League final with "Rayo Vallecano."
It should be noted that "Villarreal" announced some time ago that head coach Marcelino Toral will leave the team at the end of the season. Under his leadership, the "submarine" is in third place in La Liga and has already secured participation in the Champions League for the upcoming season.
