"Kapaz" club defeated "Qarabag" for the first time in 24 years.
According to Idman.Biz, on January 24, "Kapaz" achieved a spectacular 2:0 victory over "Qarabag" in the 17th round of the Azerbaijan Premier League. Ryonosuke Ohori and Ehtiram Shahverdiyev scored the goals for the visiting team.
This is the Ganja club's first victory over the Aghdam team in approximately 24 years. The last time "Kapaz" defeated "Qarabag" at home was on April 6, 2002, with a score of 3:0.
In the independent history of Azerbaijan, the clubs have met 68 times: "Qarabag" won 38 games, "Kapaz" won 18 matches, and the remaining games ended in a draw.
