Despite remaining undefeated in the league under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, "Benfica" has lost its chance of winning the championship.
After the weekend's matches, "Porto" secured the championship by increasing its advantage over its closest rival, "Benfica", by 9 points. Under the leadership of Andre Villas-Boas, "Porto" suffered only one defeat during the season and lifted the cup thanks to its consistent game.
"Benfica", which remained undefeated throughout the season, drew in 10 games. These results caused the Lisbon team to lose points and further fall behind in the championship race.
