Aston Villa coach Unai Emery has won the Europa League for the fifth time. This happened after the English team's victory over Freiburg (3:0) in the final match of the 2025/2026 season tournament.
Idman.Biz reports that he is the coach with the most wins in this competition: he previously won three times with Sevilla (2014, 2015, 2016) and once with Villarreal (2021).
Emery also took Arsenal to the final of the tournament in 2019, but there his team lost to Chelsea – 1:4. That match was held at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
Emery has caught up with Carlo Ancelotti, Jose Mourinho and Giovanni Trapattoni in terms of winning European Cups.
