Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has won the Europa League for the fifth time in his career.
Lent.az reports, citing championat.com, that this achievement is an absolute record in the history of the tournament.
Emery achieved this success thanks to the victory of the English team over the German team "Freiburg" with a score of 3:0 in the final match of the tournament.
The Spanish specialist previously won the Europa League (formerly the UEFA Cup) three times with Sevilla (in the 2013/2014, 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons) and once with Villarreal (in the 2020/2021 season) as head coach.
