US President Donald Trump has stated that he will not object to the Iranian national team participating in the 2026 World Cup, which starts on June 11.
Idman.Biz reports that the World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
A White House correspondent asked Trump to comment on FIFA President Gianni Infantino's statement that the Iranian national team would participate in the World Cup. The US President replied: "If Gianni says so, I'm not against it."
In the group stage of the World Cup, the Iranian national team will play two matches in Los Angeles. The other match will be held in Seattle. Iran will play in a group with New Zealand (June 15), Belgium (June 21), and Egypt (June 26).
