US President Donald Trump has assessed the price of tickets for the World Cup games to be held in the US, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
Idman.Biz reports that FIFA has previously been criticized for high prices in the US. For example, the initial minimum ticket price for the USA-Paraguay match is $1120.
"I didn't know that number. Of course I'd like to be there, but to be honest, I wouldn't pay that much money either.
I haven't seen the prices, but I have to check. I'll be disappointed if people from Queens and Brooklyn and everyone who loves Donald Trump can't go, but you know, at the same time, it's an incredible success. I would like the people who voted for me to be able to go as well. I know that [ticket sales] are going incredibly well. All sorts of records have been broken. There's never been anything like it before," The New York Times quotes Trump as saying.
